And I think I'll ride my pony.

Hey, internet! I think I might try and start posting every day. Because a lot of interesting things happen to me that I forget if I don't talk about them right away.

The first subject I'd like to address is that, no. I did not turn those shoes in yet. I don't know why. I just can't bring myself to do it, I suppose? Second, if you are a fan of The Fray (which, I, ehem, am), and you haven't heard their 'Heartless' cover (originally by Kanye West), then I suggest you go look it up NOW. I mean, I loved when Kris Allen did it on American Idol (I don't actually watch AI, not my thing), but The Fray's is just... great. I like it a lot. Also, I kinda love my school, and most of the people in it.

...Yeah. That was quite a bit of information in one paragraph, wouldn't you agree?

I'm going to talk a little bit about band. I kind of promised myself that I wouldn't talk too much about band on this blog, because I know that non-bandos will probably get kinda sick of me. But today was pretty band-filled. First, I play the trumpet. I play third trumpet, which may only be significant if you're in some sort of music program. Please don't get the wrong idea that because I play third, I'm a bad player. That's not true in the least. Because I was a sophomore and new to the school, I got stuck with third during marching band season. I was by far the best third trumpet out of the whole two of us. Since marching season ended, the parts carried over to concert band, and I am still on third. But now there's also another girl playing third, and we're about equal, playing-wise. Just not desire-wise, I guess. She doesn't care about the trumpet as much as I do. Anyway, I'm really excited to do chair auditions because the third parts are all way too easy for me, and I really do miss being challenged.
Also, I've been working really hard at my music lately. Because I recently found out the my high school has practice rooms where you can go before school, after school, or during lunch to practice in silence. How cool is that? I didn't know that until today, but now I'm glad I know. It's just really nice to have a play to just play. I don't really have that at my house, because I share my room with my twin sister, and there's no other place I could really do it. It just felt so good to just... play. You know?

One more thing. The title of this post kinda relates to something that went down today. My father listens to Bluegrass, and there was this one song that came on the Bluegrass station today, and the lytics literally were: "All the trees look like stubble on winter's chin, and I think I'll ride my pony." Which makes me wonder... And what point would a grown man ever think to himself 'Huh, its winter. Time to drag out the pony.' Who does that? It just seems like the stupidest song in the world.

Thanks for reading! :]
